Honeywell Announces Agreement to Aquire Energy Services Group

Strengthens Honeywell Portfolio in Providing Energy Management Solutions for Schools, Colleges & Universities, Municipalities in Upper Midwest

MINNEAPOLIS, April 1, 2008 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire Energy Services Group, Minneapolis. The business will be integrated into Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS), a global provider of integrated building management and control systems, and energy management solutions. The deal is expected to close by May.  No terms of the transaction were disclosed.

“The acquisition of Energy Services Group expands our energy sales coverage and expertise in the Upper Midwest, and demonstrates our commitment to grow this business,” said Paul Orzeske, president of HBS. “Rising energy costs present a significant challenge to our customers, and Honeywell Building Solutions is committed to helping them better manage those costs and maximize energy efficiency.”

Energy Services Group customers include K-12 public schools, colleges and universities and state and local government entities throughout the Upper Midwest.
